The secondary curriculum at Dwi Emas prepares students aged 12 - 17 years old for the globally recognised International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE). Cambridge IGCSE is the world’s most acclaimed international qualification and the equivalent of the GCSE in the United Kingdom. It focuses on developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving to improve academic performance.
At the same time, our curriculum offers so much more than a standardised academic programme: Going with our vision of growing people instead of just students, if our graduates were to leave Dwi Emas with just their academic achievements, it would be unacceptable to us.
At this age, making learning of all subjects relevant is vital and also one of the hardest things to convince students of. Our students believe in our programme because they get to see their own learning take off.
Our curriculum offers Skills Enhancement subjects such as Financial Education and our Entrepreneurship Programme. They were designed by us so that all our students are empowered to graduate with a different mindset and with different skills.
How so? We believe that being financially savvy shouldn’t just be about managing money. It is about the ethics, compassion and empathy that comes with it. With that as the baseline, growing people becomes less of an ambition and more of an actual outcome.
Opening our students’ minds to the very real world of entrepreneurship, and how empowering that knowledge is for their future outside of the classroom is one of the game-changing experiences of an education at Dwi Emas.
