Senior BCMC Executive – PR, Event and Communication

Selangor (Group Level) | Full-time position

Purpose

Senior BCMC Executive for PR, Event and Communication organises and oversees PR activities and ensure effective communication with stakeholders, media, and the public.

 

Key Responsibilities
  1. Media Relations 
    • To build and maintain strong relationship with local media and seek new PR opportunities to ensure constant mention of brand in the media.
    • To propose and lead all media events including press conferences, media briefing and media engagement activities.
    • To review and provide correct communication materials to the media.
  2. Organisation Event
    • To propose and plan for organisation events to ensure that events and programs align/integrate with corporate and segment goals. This may include: the strategic plan for event, communication plan for segment and executives, budget creation and approval, content facilitation, logistical planning – 3rd party vendor management.
    • To plan and promote organisation tier-up activities.
    • Plan, execute and co-ordinate a variety of marketing, promotion and thematic events which include creative concept and design ideas.
    • Perform post-mortem after the events and make recommendations for any improvement plans.
  3. Crisis Management
    • To initiate in developing and executing a PR plan of a possible crisis situation. 
    • To prepare communication materials (e.g. official statement in a possible crisis).
  4. Corporate Partnership
    • To identify, propose, evaluate and manage corporate partnership request to ensure satisfying return of investment. 
    • To coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth operation of Corporate Partnership.
  5. Competitors Analysis
    • To work closely with PR agency on media monitoring – including newspaper, magazine, journals, broadcast newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunity to enhance Ace EdVenture Group earned media and PR value.
    • To analyse and propose implications based on competitors’ reports.
    • To coordinate with relevant departments to ensure smooth operation of corporate Partnership.
    •  To prepare communication materials (e.g. official statement in a possible crisis).
  6. Communication
    • Conceptualise, planning, develop, execute and manage effective strategic communications for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Assisting subsidiaries and other departments in creating awareness and promoting the development of the Company’s services and activities through various means of communications.

 

Job Requirement
  • Proven experience as a Public Relations Officer or similar PR role.
  • Experience managing media relations (online, broadcast and print).
  • Background in researching, writing and editing publications.
  • Proficient in MS Office and social media.
  • Familiarity with project management software and video/photo editing is a plus.
  • Strong communication ability (oral and written).
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Creativity and problem-solving aptitude.
  • BSc/BA in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or a related field.
